Process engineering is an extraordinary profession, somewhere

"between chemistry and mechanical engineering." In the

course of their research, process engineers may mix a batch

of chemicals or design and assemble a piece of equipment, but

neither the chemistry nor the hardware is their actual area of expertise.

What they design are processes; procedures, techniques, systems.

New and useful ways for chemicals and hardware to work together
